[ M1422 ] Large brass section Gyroscope off Japanese ww2 torpedo

Large brass section off Japanese ww2 torpedo, recovered off a Japanese torpedo from a midget sub by Bill Hookway who was a keen Militaria collector & a professional diver in his younger days, Bill relayed this to me in person some years ago & I don't think he was pulling my leg although he is a cheeky old bugger, :-) This is very heavy, it has English numerals etc as is normal plus several Japanese Navy stamps of anchors. I think its part of a Gyroscope that kept the torpedo upright & balanced.
However I am far from an expert on Ordnance of any type so I may stand corrected on my description.
It is 100% genuine & a neat item.
