Description

RARE 1790s-1815 British Yeomanry Jacket, superb pair of beautiful buckskin breeches ( supposedly originals but they do look a bit too good ? so not sure if pants are 100% genuine period) Previous owner says they are ? also has a lovely belt with hangers, also a set or OR's epaulets ,original period pair of Tall boots with early wood inserts with brass tops, boots are very worn & have a hole with an old repair to them but display just fine. there is also a couple of other small straps with lion head buckles. This all came as one uniform, but to top it all off i have added an original early Napoleonic war period British Gorget (the blue neck ribbon is replaced just to make it sit on the tunic) but gorget is original, this piece alone is worth a few bob..
The tunic has some damage from moths & the odd stain as expected for a piece of this age,, some of the silver wire braid is hanging down at the back on one side, it could be sewn back into place easily enough but i leave it as i get it, images will show all the bad points which are heavily outnumbered by the good.
For its age this set is in lovely condition, very rare to encounter such an early uniform here in Australia.
Price-$9800 is the cash price ( if you wish to do trade then its 11k)
WILL TRADE FOR Scottish OR nice ENGLISH Napoleonic /Georgian era swords, or Quality Australian fighting knives
