[ H422 ] Scarce early Afghan or Turkish Crimea war period helmet with religious script

Exceptionally Scarce early Indian / Afghan / reportedly this helmet is a Turkish Crimea war period helmet , religious script to front plate, Lion head replaces the English crown etc, It has been debated as to whether they were used in the Crimea by Turkish officers or by Afghan Sikh’s, I personally have no bloody idea sorry, its a lovely helmet & I cant seem to find another identical for sale, that doesn't mean they are not out there but I cant find them, no doubt the collectors in this field will know its scarcity.
This is interesting in the fact that it has no holes (anywhere) in the top for a plume to be added, yet it has the raised Stem which looks like it could or should take a plume,
Silver wash on parts as seen in images, rough & stiff leather to interior ,mostly there which is a miracle, no backing left on chin scales, Nice bit of script to the inner edge on the brim, maybe a date or something else, ?
