Description

Genuine original Ww1 Australian lighthorse feather plume which belonged to 2427 Pte Thomas Holmes 2nd ALH AIF.
Nice set of feathers, there was 2 sets with a bunch of paperwork & photographs, a good friend of mine has taken everything else but I kept this one set for my site, I have 2 copied photographs of the owner that I will include with the feathers. The feathers are originals but the photographs are not.
The price will make some of you raise your eyebrows, & think I have gone barking mad ,but here is something to think about-
1- Slip out & buy a genuine ww1 set of feathers
2 A ww1 Infantry hat in good order sells for around $4000 to $6000, a Light horse hat sells for 10 to 12k.

The only difference from Infantry to LH is a set of feathers,( and some LH guys wore a slider badge on the front of the hat) I personally would not put a set of feathers on an infantry hat & believe me, in the past I could of as I had a set of feathers & an infantry hat, but I sold them separately at the same time for what they were, an infantry hat which sold for 6k & the feathers sold separately to a different person. no doubt both those collectors still visit my site & know that's not just a story.

many people will see a quick way to make a lot of dollars just by adding feathers to a ww1 infantry hat, so with that in mind the price of these is low in comparison. what you do with them is your business but the price is firm.
