Turkish dagger , Ottoman period, made from Trabzon region in late 19th centuary, the handle is made of two plates of bone decorated with red and green coral. The slab plates are secured by 3 steel rivets. The steel blade has 3 fullers on one side and 2 on the other side, these fullers are decorated with floral engraving,The wooden sheath is covered with brass which is nicely chiseled. Beautiful patina overall. a fine old dagger 25.5cm long with scabbard on.
