[ h522 ] WW1 1918 19 lightweight US Cavalry 2nd Lieutenants uniform

WW1 1918 19 lightweight US Cavalry 2nd Lieutenants uniform,

Nice uniform, it consists of Tunic, Breeches, hat, belt, water canteen, pistol holster, ammo pouch, leather boots & spurs.

The inside silk area of the Tunic is in real rough condition, but the material part is very good for its age, a few small moth holes as per the images, Makers label inside tunic but way too worn to read, pants I couldn't see much in the way of markings, a few small moth holes as shown in images, I didn't take them completely off the mannequin neither.

The canteen cover is 1917 dated, the canteen is 1918 dated, the ammo pouch has a stamp on the rear & I have no idea if its ww1 period or later, (those of you in the know will know if its period or later)

Very nice leather boots I didn't remove from the mannequin as it's just too much hassle, They are ww1 but I am not sure if they are US or British, same goes for the spurs.I will check them out some more when I get a chance.

Pistol holster has US on the front flap & nothing else in markings that I noticed. I think its the 1905 model ?

Hat is nice condition, chin strap is present but is broken, the band has a bit of damage that should be seen in the images. The yellow cords are probably replacements, but I have no idea on them to be honest.

The belt has a name on the back, it appears to be a standard ww1 garrison belt.

ww1 Ribbon bar is just pinned on, I would say its been added for display, it was on the uniform so I left it there.

As a display it looks fantastic- If the uniform is purchased & collected in person I will throw in the great old museum mannequin if you want it.
