scarce large antique very heavy silver Tribal currency ankle bangle, beautifully decorated silver, this has had a copper insert put into it & has been used as an ashtray, the copper centre can be removed to restore it back to an ankle bracelet/bangle.
These were apparently used as currency as well as a symbol of wealth & power within the tribes. the silver is a better grade than you usually see in some of the native / tribal gear & will polish up to a brilliant silver in my opinion.
