I think this is for the ww2 Owen gun, 6 unit mag pouch- Neweys Pat on the clip, the Aussie ones I have had in the past usually have a CARR clip so this one, I spoke to a very knowledgeable Aussie collector who knows his webbing & he said we did have these clips on some of our gear, It may be British or US? but very possible Australian, he also said its only the 2nd example he has seen & he is not sure if it's for an Owen as his example is slightly too short for the Owen mags, as soon as I get a chance I will check mine with a mag & will update the listings,It maybe some type of prototype, I will show Ian Skennerton as soon as I see him again & will ask his opinion of it. NOTE- one strap has come away at the back, image shown, 5 min fix with a needle
