Antique signed Chinese Hudiedao Butterfly sword part of a pair, this should be part of a pair but i only have the 1.
Nice carved hilt flat on one side for its companion to lay against it, Iron guard, Blade has a lot of staining & some very light pitting, tip has a thick false edge, The blade is quite hefty, its around 11 to 12 mm thick at the guard & is around 39mm wide at the guard.
There is also a signature on the hilt, shown in last photograph, no scabbard , circa early 1800s to maybe mid 1800s at best.
