[ S428 ] Antique Japanese Samurai Tanto in Koshirae

Description

S428 Antique Samurai Japanese Tanto in Koshirae, this is ex Phil Brain collection (Things of Japan was his shop & website)

The blade is Mu-Mei & is a very pleasing shape , quite nice but it really needs to be repolished as the hamon area has a grey scale all over it, I think once polished it will be a stunning sword, Phil's tag states it was rebound in Japan (in 2010 ) using antique fittings,
Fuchi Kashira are both matching with flowers, Menuki are flowers, Tsuba is plain Copper/shakudo ,
The blade I believe to be shin-shinto period- it may be a little older but I lean more towards Shin-Shinto
