Nice Father son (Sons Wife ) & a relatives medal lot , completely unresearched, i just looked them up on the awm & Naa, this lot has been tucked away with an antique dealer friend of mine for many many years,new to the market.
ww1 trio 3174 Pte W.J.Benison 6/F.AMB.AIF, on the Vic & War medal he is a driver ,the ribbons on his medals are stuffed there is also a full sive medal bar for mounting which appears to be solid silver , the medal set is sitting inside his original ww1 brass Christmas tin ,there is also a nice post card photo of him, on the back there is writing in pencil & also in Biro “Bill Benison our dad” in Biro, hard to read the pencil ,also his original ribbon bar & miniatures swing mounted on what also appears to be a solid silver medal bar.
Next is Mr Benison sons ww2 group of 4, who was a Major & liaison officer to General Douglas Mccarthur, the pack 4 medals are correctly named to VX54903 J.W.Benison ,with this is a ww2 victory medallion & a returned serviceman badge, there are 2 miniatures (stars) a ribbon bar, a large photo of Kurrabeena point which has a cross marked on a house, the rear reads “Japanese Consols house” There are several nice photographs of the Major getting married, on the rear of one large photo is reads” Major John William Benison Liaison officer to General Douglas Mccarthur ,there is also his original medal issue papers,
Next is Major Benison wife's single medal in original box with original issue papers named S.F64713 G.B.Benison
Next is a group of 4 to another relative (not sure which side he is from or what the connection but he was family ) these are swing mounted but appear unworn,they come in a larger box with original issue paperwork, his name etc is QX32577 N.O. Braidwood
