[ s343 ] Nice Gendaito katana with awesome antique koshirae

Description

Nice Gendaito katana with awesome antique koshirae, very nice matching fuchi/kashira menuki & sukashi tsuba which are possibly Goto school, the tsuba is signed but I have never translated it, I probably should in case its a famous Goto school artist.
The tsuka has been rebound in Japan with leather binding, the same has been replaced with new same, its a shame they didn't darken it to match the age but it is what it is.
The blade is flawless & has a nice hamon, it does have 1 tiny nick that i noticed but its so small its no problem of course, from memory its around 26 inch but I will have to measure it to be sure, blade is signed & dated, again I have not translated it as yet.
The scabbard is unusual, I believe it is old but I just cant be sure if its original to the sword, it fits like it is original, I wont say it is or it isn't original to the blade not that it makes any difference whatsoever as many got changed / remade OR refurbished over the years.
