Am7 Early steel Breast & back plate of armour

Early set of armour, all iron construction ,in several places you can see the forging marks where it has been made,The only stamps I can find is the letter S ,up near the top shoulder piece, there is also the number 12 on a shoulder section & a small indentation that may be an armourers stamp,
On the side of the back plate it has the number 86 stamped twice,
Front plate retails most of the original brass rivets,The back plate is missing all the rivets,,they could easily be replaced but I don't play around with anything,,I leave it all as I find it,
The armour was painted in a very light coat of black paint when I found it,,I did strip the paint off it & used only a mild stripper & pieces of wood to scrub it off, there is still some traces of the paint but it will come off without any real effort,,The armour came with a very nice French helmet but I am not sure if they belong together so have separated them, (straps replaced as usual)
Price-$1600
